  Bed & Breakfast

OUR PLACE

Come and relax 10 minutes from Deauville in a Normandy press renovated in 2023 by your hosts Valérie and Julien.

You will discover our orchard-vegetable garden, our grass beds and breathtaking views of the Pays d'Auge.

We are 2 km from the motorway exit, 10 minutes from Deauville, as well as Pont L'Évêque and 15 minutes from Honfleur.

We offer two rooms of 30 m2 and a common area of 70m2 with terrace.

You also have a private parking.

Animals can be allowed but under strict control because we have dogs, cats and chickens!

Our style is very compatible with athletes, gourmets and nature lovers.

By reservation, we offer some “plus” services.

We cannot accommodate children because several areas of the garden are not secure, particularly the pond and the vegetable garden.

Our rentals are not suitable for nightclubbers, the village loves calm more than anything, and so do we…

Information 2023: the front garden is being planted

Your journey

The region of  Les Herbes Flottantes appears inexhaustible to us. It's simple, almost nothing is missing and two weeks wouldn't be enough to see half of the must-sees!

Here we give you activity ideas and some examples of excursions and walks. If you want to know more, contact us.

If you don't know Honfleur or Trouville, don't miss it. If you only had to take one walk, the Butte Clara in Glanville. If you play golf, try to stay a week, there are so many courses. And we haven't told you about Rouen, Etretat, Suisse Normande, etc...

A plus d'une demi-heure des herbes flottantes

Walks

Walks in the fishing ports of Honfleur and Trouville will keep you busy for about an hour each time.

The locals' favorite promenade is the beach, especially in winter. To avoid tidal problems, go directly to Deauville and follow the boards then go to the end (an hour and a half there and back). Villerville beach is very beautiful at low tide and you will visit the village of “Monkey in Winter”.

For lovers of hiking, we have selected a few routes that we like, of varying length and difficulty (the links give you the duration and relief). The departures are 10-20 minutes from Les Herbes Flottantes.

Orange Fourneville

Le tour de l'Orange

The small river called the Orange flows in a preserved valley. The paths run through a landscape of meadows enclosed by hedges. Cider and calvados at the Ferme des Parquets.

Often under trees so good in case of passing showers.

walk

La butte Clara à Glanville

Crossing streams and valleys, this circuit offers a wide variety of landscapes and, at the end of the route, at the height of the church, a very beautiful view of Beaumont-en-Auge and the surrounding hills.

Perhaps our favorite.

Details here .

Blonville walk

Autour de Blonville

A very pleasant hike around Blonville-Sur-Mer, ending with Mont Canisy. Crossing the marsh, at the beginning, often allows you to see protected species then at the top, the view of the sea is magnificent.

Best in good weather.

Details here .

Barneville la bertrand

Barneville Pennedepie

The road to Barneville la Bertrand is magnificent, along the golf course. Park in front of the Church, follow the map and return by the same path (access to the return route is blocked). Quiet path and the sea is at the end (with a not so bad Argentinian restaurant, the Moulin Saint Georges ).

Details here .

beaumont-en-auge

Dans les pas de Laplace

It was in Beaumont-en-Auge that the physicist and mathematician Pierre-Simon Laplace was born. From his statue, you can enjoy the view of the Touques valley. Take time to visit Beaumont after the walk.

Two short hours.

Details here .

Pierrefitte-en-auge

Pierrefitte-en-Auge

The village of Pierrefitte-en-Auge is one of the most charming in the region, we almost lived there... You have to park in front of the town hall and allow almost 5 hours. On the way back, excellent inn in the “nourishing” Norman style: Les deux tonneaux .
